Asian honey chicken: Sweet and savory marinade with soy sauce, ginger, garlic, and onion. Baked for a quick and easy dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (3 pound) whole chicken, cut into pieces
  • 3 tablespoons chopped onion
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh ginger root
  • 1 teaspoon minced garlic
  • 0.25 cup chopped green onions
Instructions:
  • In a 9x13-inch baking dish, lay out the chicken pieces. In a small bowl, mix together onion, soy sauce, honey, ginger, and garlic. Pour the mixture over the chicken, cover the dish, and refrigerate for 1 hour. Remember to flip the chicken halfway through marinating.
  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  • Roast marinated chicken in a hot oven for 30 minutes. Flip chicken, sprinkle with green onions, and bake until fully cooked, 10 to 15 minutes more, reaching an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
