Elevate your Christmas ham with fragrant cloves and a sweet pomegranate glaze for a truly special touch.
Ingredients:
  • 4.5kg leg or shoulder of ham, on the bone
  • 1 x 40g pkt whole cloves
  • 30.00 ml pomegranate syrup
  • 16.00 gm brown sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 180°C and line a roasting pan with foil. Score the ham fat in a diamond pattern, then stud the corners with cloves. Gently remove the rind in one piece and set aside in the fridge for later use. Place the ham in the pan.
  • Mix the pomegranate syrup and sugar in a small bowl, then brush the ham evenly with the sweet mixture.
  • Place in the oven and brush with pan juices every so often. Bake for 25 minutes or until beautifully golden. Let it cool for 2 hours.
  • Slice the baked ham for serving.
