Impress your family with a classic Glazed Baked Ham recipe! A savory-sweet glaze transforms this dish into a holiday favorite. A must-have for any gathering!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cooked smoked bone-in ham (6 lb)
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 can (8 oz) crushed pineapple, undrained
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon yellow or Dijon mustard
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 325°F. Put the ham on a rack in a shallow roasting pan. Insert an ovenproof meat thermometer into the center of the thickest part of the meat, making sure it doesn't touch the bone or rest in the fat. Bake uncovered for about 1 hour and 30 minutes, or until the thermometer reads at least 140°F.
  • In a small saucepan, combine brown sugar, cornstarch, salt, pineapple, lemon juice, and mustard. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens and boils. Let it boil and stir for 1 minute. Brush the glaze over the ham during the last 45 minutes of baking.
  • Take the ham out of the oven and cover it loosely with foil. Allow it to rest for 10 to 15 minutes to make carving easier.
