Impress with our simple yet stunning holiday ham recipe, featuring a flavorful glaze that strikes the perfect sweet and tangy balance. Just six ingredients needed for a juicy centerpiece sure to please your guests. Let the delectable aroma entice you while you wait anxiously to savor each succulent slice.
Ingredients:
  • 6- to 8-pound fully cooked smoked bone-in gluten-free ham
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons balsamic or cider vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground mustard
  • Orange slices, if desired
  • Maraschino cherries, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 325°F. Put the ham, fat side up, on a rack in a shallow roasting pan. Insert a meat thermometer into the thickest part of the ham without touching the bone or resting in fat. Loosely cover and bake for 1 hour 15 minutes to 2 hours 15 minutes until the thermometer reads 135°F (about 13 to 17 minutes per pound).
  • Approximately 20 minutes before the ham is finished cooking, take it out of the oven. Carefully pour the drippings from the pan and remove any skin from the ham. Prepare a glaze by mixing brown sugar, vinegar, and mustard, then evenly spread or brush it onto the ham. Put the ham back in the oven and bake it uncovered for an additional 20 minutes.
  • Let the ham rest under a loose cover for about 10 minutes until the thermometer shows 140°F. Top it off with orange slices and cherries for a beautiful presentation.
