Impress with this mouthwatering glazed ham topped with juicy pineapple and maraschino cherries - perfect for festive feasts or any special occasion.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (10 pound) fully-cooked, bone-in ham
  • 4 cups boiling water, or as needed
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons dry mustard powder
  • 0.25 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice, or as needed
  • 1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1 (10 ounce) jar maraschino cherries, drained

Instructions:
  • Collect all the necessary ingredients, then preheat the oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Set the ham on a rack in a roasting pan and gently pour 1/2 inch of boiling water into the pan underneath the ham.
  • Roast the ham in the preheated oven until a meat thermometer reads at least 140°F (60°C) when inserted into the thickest part of the meat without touching the bone, about 2 hours.
  • Lower the oven temperature to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Combine brown sugar, flour, dry mustard, honey, and lemon juice in a bowl until a thick, smooth paste forms.
  • Coat the ham liberally with the glaze, then adorn it by skewering a pineapple chunk and a maraschino cherry on each toothpick before inserting them all over the ham.
  • Place the ham back into the oven and roast for 15 minutes. Glaze the ham and fruit with the pan juices, then roast for another 15 minutes. Allow the ham to rest for a minimum of 10 minutes before slicing.
