Delicious ham gravy made with brown sugar-coated baked ham drippings and apple juice for a quick and tasty sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (8 pound) fully cooked bone-in ham
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 1 (6 ounce) can apple juice
  • 0.5 cup all-purpose flour
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Place the ham cut-side down in a large roasting pan, press brown sugar on top, pour in apple juice, and cover with a lid or aluminum foil.
  • Place the ham in the preheated oven until warmed through, approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure the center reaches 145°F (62°C). Allow the ham to rest for 10 minutes before moving it to a serving plate. Transfer any leftover pan juices to a saucepan.
  • In a jar with a lid, mix flour and milk together until well combined by shaking.
  • First, bring the pan juices to a boil. Then, whisk in the flour mixture slowly and cook until the gravy thickens, which takes about 5 minutes.
