Indulge in a comforting plate of savory meatball pasta smothered in delicious tomato sauce - a wallet-friendly hit for the whole family.
Ingredients:
  • 400g beef mince
  • 1 brown onion, coarsely grated
  • 25g (1/4 cup) dried (packaged) breadcrumbs
  • 1 egg, lightly whisked
  • 1 tsp Italian herbs
  • 700ml passata (tomato pasta sauce)
  • 400g linguine
  • 62.50 ml chopped fresh continental parsley
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 200°C. In a bowl, mix together the mince, onion, breadcrumbs, garlic, egg, and herbs. Season with salt and pepper. Roll 2 tablespoonfuls of the mixture into a ball using clean wet hands. Repeat with the rest of the mixture.
  • Transfer the meatballs to a 2L (8-cup) ceramic dish and generously coat with passata. Cover with foil and bake for 10 minutes. Uncover and continue baking for 15 minutes, or until meatballs are fully cooked.
  • Cook the pasta in a large saucepan of salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and return to the pan.
  • Portion the pasta into individual serving bowls and generously spoon the flavorful meatball mixture on top. Finish with a sprinkle of fresh parsley for a vibrant touch before serving.
