Italian-inspired penne pasta with ground beef, peppers, and onions, baked with creamy Italian cheese blend and Mozzarella on top.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 pound extra lean ground beef
  • 0.5 cup chopped onions
  • 0.5 cup chopped green peppers
  • 1 (24 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 (10 ounce) tub PHILADELPHIA Italian Cheese and Herb Cooking Creme, divided
  • 1 cup KRAFT Shredded Mozzarella Cheese, divided
  • 3 cups hot cooked penne pasta
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Preheat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté beef, onions, and peppers until beef is browned and crumbly, about 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Combine spaghetti sauce, 3/4 cup cooking creme, and 1/2 cup mozzarella in the pan. Cook and stir until the mozzarella is melted, about 2 to 3 minutes. Add the cooked pasta and mix until well coated.
  • Transfer the pasta mixture into a 2-quart casserole dish. Spread the remaining cooking creme and mozzarella on top, then cover the dish with aluminum foil.
  • Bake in a preheated oven for 15 minutes covered with foil, then bake uncovered for an additional 5 minutes until heated through.
