Generations-old BBQ steak recipe with tangy sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 5 pounds round steak - cut into 1 inch strips
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 0.75 cup distilled white vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon white sugar
  • 0.5 cup ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.125 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C) for the perfect cooking environment.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, warm oil and brown the steak strips until all sides are seared. Using a slotted spoon, move the steak strips to a baking dish. Cook garlic in the skillet for 5 minutes. Add vinegar, sugar, and ketchup, then mix in mustard, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer the sauce for 3 minutes before pouring it over the steak strips.
  • Bake the covered dish in a preheated oven for 1 hour, then bake uncovered for an additional 30 minutes.
