Spicy salmon wontons loaded with creamy cheese, onions, and jalapenos - a crowd-pleasing appetizer that's easy and delicious.
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (6 ounce) can skinless, boneless salmon
  • 0.5 cup diced onion
  • 4 jalapenos, seeded and diced
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 (16 ounce) package wonton wrappers
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, or as needed
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and lightly coat a baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Combine cream cheese, smoked salmon, onion, jalapenos, and chili powder in a medium bowl.
  • Spoon a teaspoon of the flavorful salmon mixture onto each delicate wonton wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, elegantly fold the corners, and gently press to seal. Brush the golden tops and sides of the wontons with fragrant olive oil before arranging them in the awaiting baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes or until the tops are beautifully golden brown.
