Elevate baked potatoes with sweet, caramelized flavor using brown sugar and butter.
Ingredients:
  • 3 sweet potatoes
  • 2 teaspoons vegetable oil, or as needed
  • 6 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 6 teaspoons salted butter
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) and line a glass baking dish with aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
  • Using a fork, generously pierce sweet potatoes on all sides. Coat them with oil and transfer to the baking dish.
  • Preheat the oven and bake for 1 hour, turning halfway through. Rest for 5 minutes before serving.
  • Cut sweet potatoes in half lengthwise and make small slits in the flesh for the brown sugar and butter to seep in. Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of brown sugar and place 1 teaspoon of butter on each half.
