Homemade lime and cumin tortilla chips: A zesty twist on a classic snack, perfect for dipping in salsa or hummus.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (12 ounce) package corn tortillas
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
  • Assemble all ingredients.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Layer 5 or 6 tortillas stacked on top of each other. Cut through the stack to create 8 wedges. Place the wedges in a single layer on rimmed baking sheets.
  • In a spray bottle or mister, mix lime juice and oil. Shake vigorously until fully combined. Lightly mist the tops of the tortilla wedges.
  • Mix together the cumin, chili powder, and salt in a small bowl, then generously sprinkle the flavorful mixture over the chips.
  • Place in the oven and bake for 7 minutes.
  • Take the baking sheet out of the oven. Flip the chips over, then lightly spray and season once more.
  • Return the pans to the oven, rotating and switching racks as needed. Bake for 5 to 8 more minutes, checking regularly to prevent burning, until the chips are golden brown and crispy.
  • Take out of the oven and allow to cool slightly before serving to enhance the crispiness of the chips.
  • Serve with a delicious salsa on the side!
