Easy baked ziti with ground beef, spaghetti sauce, and three Italian cheeses – a delicious and simple family dinner.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound dry ziti pasta
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 2 (26 ounce) jars spaghetti sauce
  • 6 ounces provolone cheese, sliced
  • 1.5 cups sour cream
  • 6 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions:
  • Boil a pot of salted water. Cook ziti until al dente, for about 8 minutes. Drain.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, sauté ground beef and onion until nicely browned; mix in spaghetti sauce and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously butter a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Layer half of the ziti on the bottom of the dish. Add Provolone cheese, sour cream, half of the meat sauce, the rest of the ziti, mozzarella cheese, and the remaining meat sauce. Sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese on top.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for approximately 30 minutes or until heated through and the cheeses have melted.
