Balsamic strawberries transform ice cream into a guilt-free strawberry Romanoff or a delightful topping for yogurt.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and halved
  • 0.25 cup granular sucrolose sweetener (such as Splenda®)
  • 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
  • 4 scoops low-fat vanilla ice cream
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and toss in strawberry halves, sucralose sweetener, and balsamic vinegar. Cook until strawberries are warmed and turn a rich ruby red color.
  • Scoop ice cream into bowls or glasses, top with strawberries, and serve.
