Flavorful balsamic-glazed chicken paired with mushrooms and onions for a delicious meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breasts, cut into pieces
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 0.25 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 0.25 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, or more as needed
Instructions:
  • Season the chicken with a pinch of salt and pepper. Combine balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, water, and brown sugar in a small bowl until the sugar dissolves.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, sizzle chicken in hot oil until cooked through, around 3 to 4 minutes per side. Set aside once done.
  • Saute mushrooms and onion in the skillet, adding oil as necessary, until soft, about 5 minutes. Add chicken back to the skillet and drizzle with balsamic glaze. Simmer on low heat until sauce thickens slightly and chicken is heated through, 3 to 4 minutes.
