Crispy, sticky, sweet air fryer wings with a delicious glaze. Messy fingers alert!
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1.5 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 pounds chicken wings, split and tips discarded
  • 0.33333334326744 cup water
  • 0.33333334326744 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons chili sauce (such as Heinz®)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon water
  • 0.25 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 green onion, thinly sliced
  • 0.25 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
Instructions:
  • Preheat your air fryer to 380 degrees F (190 degrees C) and generously coat the fryer basket with cooking spray for perfectly cooked chicken.
  • Combine baking powder, salt, pepper, and paprika in a small bowl, then transfer to a resealable bag. Add wings to the bag, seal, and shake until fully coated. Place wings on a plate, shaking off any excess powder. Coat all wings in the same manner.
  • Gently coat wings with cooking spray and air fry at 380 degrees F (190 degrees C) for 20 minutes, flipping halfway. Increase temperature to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and air fry for an extra 5 minutes until crispy. You may need to air fry in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.
  • While the wings are cooking, prepare the glaze: In a saucepan over medium heat, mix together 1/3 cup water, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, honey, chili sauce, and garlic. Let it come to a low boil and simmer until the sauce reduces, for about 15 minutes. In a small bowl, whisk together 1 teaspoon water and cornstarch, then stir into the saucepan until the glaze thickens.
  • Transfer the crispy wings to a spacious bowl, generously drizzle with sauce, and mix thoroughly until fully coated. Sprinkle with sliced green onion and sesame seeds for an extra touch of flavor, then serve promptly.
