Decadent banana cake with chocolate chips and cinnamon sugar topping.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 2.5 cups mashed banana
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1.5 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Turn your oven into a cozy 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and give your 9x13-inch baking pan a light greasing.
  • In a large bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and baking soda by sifting. In a small bowl, thoroughly mix brown sugar and cinnamon together.
  • In a large mixing bowl, cream together sugar and butter using an electric mixer until fluffy. Stir in banana and vanilla extract until well combined. Gradually mix in beaten eggs, then add flour mixture and sour cream alternately.
  • Alternate layers of batter, brown sugar mixture, and chocolate chips in the prepared baking pan, starting and ending with the batter.
  • Bake in the oven until a toothpick comes out clean, about 45-50 minutes.
