Indulgent homemade banana split cake with a warning for those avoiding raw eggs.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.75 cups margarine, softened
  • 0.5 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 6 bananas
  • 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple, drained
  • 2 pints fresh strawberries
  • 1 (16 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Mix flour, 3/4 cup margarine, and chopped pecans in a large bowl. Press mixture into a 9x13 inch pan. Bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes, then let it cool.
  • In a large bowl, mix 1 cup of margarine, eggs, and confectioners' sugar until fluffy using an electric mixer. Spread over cooled crust, layer with sliced bananas and strawberries, cover with whipped topping, and sprinkle with chopped nuts for garnish.
