Crispy fried banana spring rolls, paired perfectly with creamy ice cream. A foolproof and delectable treat!
Ingredients:
  • 2 large bananas
  • 8 (7 inch square) spring roll wrappers
  • 1 cup brown sugar, or to taste
  • 1 quart oil for deep frying
Instructions:
  • Heat the oil in a deep-fryer or large cast-iron skillet until it reaches 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Peel bananas and cut them in half lengthwise, then into fourths. Lay a piece of banana diagonally on a spring roll wrapper, sprinkle with brown sugar. Roll from corner to center, fold top and bottom corners, continue rolling. Moisten edge with water to seal. Repeat with rest of bananas.
  • Fry banana rolls in hot oil until evenly browned. Place on paper towels to drain. Serve hot or cold.
