Indulge in a decadent Tres Leches cake made effortlessly with a Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ cake mix soaked in three sweet milks for a delicious Hispanic-inspired treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ White Cake Mix
  • 1 1/4 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup mashed bananas (2 medium)
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk (not evaporated)
  • 1/2 cup (from 14-oz can) coconut milk (not cream of coconut)
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1 tub (12 oz) Betty Crocker™ Whipped Fluffy White Frosting
  • Banana slices and/or toasted coconut, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (325°F for dark or nonstick pans) and lightly grease the bottom of a 13x9-inch pan.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to blend the cake mix, water, oil, eggs, and mashed bananas until smooth and creamy, about 2 minutes. Transfer the batter into a pan.
  • Bake for 33 to 38 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let it cool completely for about 1 hour.
  • Poke the top of the cake every half inch with a long-tined fork, wiping the fork occasionally to prevent sticking. In a large bowl, mix condensed milk, coconut milk, and whipping cream. Gently pour the mixture evenly over the cake. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight until the cake absorbs the liquid.
  • Cover the cake with a generous layer of frosting. Top each slice with fresh banana slices and/or crunchy toasted coconut. Keep the cake in the refrigerator, lightly covered.
