Infuse roast with rich flavors of liquid smoke and beer, slow-cook for 4 to 5 hours.
Ingredients:
  • 3 pounds beef roast
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 2 (12 fluid ounce) cans or bottles beer
  • 6 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 teaspoons liquid smoke flavoring
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons ground black pepper
  • 1 (18 ounce) bottle barbecue sauce
  • 2 cups water
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C).
  • Lay the roast in a spacious roasting pan and generously spread the chopped onions on top.
  • Combine Worcestershire sauce, liquid smoke, garlic powder, salt, pepper, and beer in a large bowl. Pour mixture into roasting pan, ensuring beef is fully covered with water.
  • Slow cook in a covered oven at 275 degrees F (135 degrees C) for 4 to 5 hours.
  • Shred the cooked meat using two forks, then mix in the barbecue sauce until well combined.
