Elevate your banana split: grill bananas for rich flavor and spice up the ice cream for a kick.
Ingredients:
  • 1L vanilla ice cream
  • 40.00 ml Buderim, finely chopped glace ginger
  • 80g dark chocolate, chopped
  • 30g butter
  • 8 bananas, peeled, halved lengthways then halved again
Instructions:
  • Let the ice cream soften slightly, mix in the ginger, then place it back in the freezer to set.
  • Melt the chocolate in a heatproof bowl over simmering water, then set it aside.
  • Preheat a barbeque flat plate or frying pan over medium-high heat. Melt the butter, then add the bananas and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden and slightly softened.
  • Present the bananas accompanied by a generous scoop of the zesty ginger ice cream and finish with a decadent drizzle of rich melted chocolate.
