Delicious, customizable biscuits for a memorable birthday party treat.
Ingredients:
  • 185g butter, softened
  • 161.25 gm caster sugar
  • 4.40 gm vanilla extract
  • 500.00 ml Cake, Biscuit and Pastry plain flour
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180ºC/160ºC fan-forced and line 3 baking trays with baking paper.
  • With an electric mixer, cream together butter, sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Mix in the egg until well combined. Sift flour over the mixture, then stir with a wooden spoon until just combined.
  • Roll out the biscuit dough to a 4mm thickness between two sheets of baking paper. Use a cookie cutter to cut out shapes and place them on trays. Repeat with the remaining dough.
  • Arrange cookies on lined trays, ensuring they are spaced 4cm apart. Bake in the oven until they turn a beautiful light golden hue, approximately 10-12 minutes. To achieve uniform color, rotate the trays halfway through baking.
