Master the art of homemade bread with this versatile recipe base, then get creative with your own unique twist!
Ingredients:
  • 7g sachet dry yeast
  • 250.00 gm warm water
  • 750.00 ml bread and pizza plain flour
  • 2.40 gm sea salt
  • 18.20 gm olive oil
Instructions:
  • In a jug, combine yeast, sugar, and warm water. Whisk with a fork until the yeast has dissolved. Let it sit in a warm place for 10 minutes or until foamy.
  • Sift flour into a large bowl and create a well in the center. Add salt, yeast mixture, and oil, then mix to form a soft dough. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 10 to 15 minutes until smooth and elastic. Place the dough in a large, lightly greased bowl, cover with greased plastic wrap, and let it rest in a warm place for 1 hour until doubled in size. Once risen, punch the dough down gently and knead on a floured surface until smooth.
  • Shape the dough into a 15cm round on a greased baking tray. Brush with beaten egg and dust with flour. Bake for 35 to 40 minutes.
