Savory skillet dinner with beef, cheesy Bisquick® crust, and smoky BBQ sauce - ready in just 35 minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 1 lb lean (at least 80%) ground beef
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 cup hickory smoke-flavored barbecue sauce
  • 2 1/4 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese (4 oz)
  • 2/3 cup milk
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 450°F and generously coat 12 regular-size muffin cups with cooking spray.
  • In a large nonstick skillet, cook the beef and onion over medium-high heat for 5 to 7 minutes until the meat is fully cooked; remember to stir occasionally. Once cooked, drain any excess fat. Add the barbecue sauce and continue to cook until the mixture just starts to bubble.
  • Mix Bisquick, 1/2 cup of cheese, and milk in a medium bowl until a soft dough forms. Spoon 2 tablespoons of dough into each muffin cup, pressing it into the bottom and up the sides. Then, add 2 tablespoons of beef mixture into each cup.
  • Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, until the top edges of cups are golden brown. Sprinkle each with the remaining cheese, let stand for 5 minutes, then remove from the pan.
