Beef and mushroom bolognese

Hearty beef bolognese, a crowd favorite.
Ingredients:
  • 375g spaghetti or other pasta
  • 500g beef mince
  • 150g button mushrooms, finely chopped
  • 575g jar tomato pasta sauce
Instructions:
  • In a medium frying pan over high heat, heat oil. Cook mince for 4-5 minutes, using the back of a spoon to break up any lumps as it browns.
  • Sauté mushrooms for an additional 4-5 minutes until they are tender, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the sauce and let it come to a boil. Then, lower the heat and simmer gently for 5-10 minutes.
  • Cook the pasta in a large saucepan of boiling salted water according to package instructions for 10-12 minutes, then drain thoroughly.
  • Serve pasta generously topped with savory bolognese sauce. Finish off with a sprinkle of shaved parmesan and chopped parsley for an added burst of flavor and freshness. Enjoy!
