Spice up your pasta with the bold flavor and heat of chili peppers for a memorable dish.
Ingredients:
  • 36.40 gm olive oil
  • 1 medium white onion, peeled, finely chopped
  • 2 fresh birdseye chillies, deseeded, finely chopped
  • 500g beef mince (extra lean)
  • 150g mushroom caps, finely chopped
  • 1 375g jar spaghetti sauce (Paul Newman's Own brand)
  • Ground black pepper, to taste
  • 500g spaghetti
Instructions:
  • In a large frying pan over medium heat, heat olive oil. Cook the onion until just soft for about 3 minutes. Add the chillies and beef mince and cook, breaking up the mince, until browned, about 4-5 minutes. Add the mushroom caps and cook for 2 minutes. Stir in the spaghetti sauce and season with pepper. Reduce heat to medium-low, cover, and simmer for 12 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Cook the spaghetti in a large saucepan of salted boiling water until al dente according to package instructions. Drain and serve immediately, topped with the meat sauce.
