Beef burgers with the lot

Irresistible beef burger with all the fixings.
Ingredients:
400g mincedbeef
1brown onion, coarsely grated
70g breadcrumbs
1egg, lightly whisked
40.00 ml finely choppedflat-leaf parsley
4bacon rashers
4slicescheddar cheese
4bread rolls, split, toasted
2iceberg lettuce leaves, finely shredded
225g can sliced beetroot, drained
1ripe tomato, thinly sliced
Tomato or barbecue sauce, to serve
Hot chips, to serve
Instructions:
In a medium bowl, mix together the beef, onion, breadcrumbs, egg, parsley, and Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper. Divide the mixture into four portions and shape each into a 12cm disc. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for 30 minutes before cooking.
Preheat a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the bacon until crisp, about 1-2 minutes. Place on a paper towel-lined plate. Then, sear the beef patties for 2-3 minutes on each side until just cooked. Top each patty with a slice of cheese.
Assemble each roll: start with the base, then add lettuce and beetroot. Layer with beef patties, bacon, and tomato slices. Serve promptly with tomato or barbecue sauce and, if preferred, a side of chips.
