Loaded burger with eggs, beetroot, bacon, cheese, and tomato.
Ingredients:
  • 500g lean beef mince
  • 1 small brown onion, grated
  • 70g breadcrumbs
  • 40.00 ml chopped fresh continental parsley
  • Salt & freshly ground pepper
  • 27.30 gm olive oil
  • 6 slices cheddar cheese
  • 6 bacon rashers rindless short cut
  • 6 eggs
  • 6 hamburger buns, halved, toasted
  • Lettuce leaves, to serve
  • Beetroot slices, to serve
  • Sliced tomato, to serve
Instructions:
  • 1. Preheat your oven to 160°C and line a baking tray with non-stick parchment paper. 2. In a bowl, combine beef mince, onion, breadcrumbs, parsley, egg, salt, and pepper. 3. Shape the mixture into 6 patties using your hands.
  • In a large nonstick frying pan over medium heat, warm 1 tablespoon of oil. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes on each side until fully cooked. Then, place the patties on a lined tray, top each with a slice of cheese, and bake in the oven until the cheese melts, about 4-5 minutes.
  • Heat the remaining oil in the pan over medium heat. Add the bacon and cook until crispy, about 3-4 minutes. Drain on paper towel. Crack the eggs into the pan and cook until the bases are crisp, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Lightly toast the buns, then layer the bases with crisp lettuce, tangy beetroot, juicy tomato, crispy bacon, savory beef patties, and a perfectly cooked egg. Complete with the bun tops and serve immediately.
