Quick and flavorful budget-friendly curry ready in 30 minutes!
Ingredients:
  • 36.80 gm vegetable oil
  • 1 brown onion, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 56.00 gm madras curry paste
  • 650g beef mince
  • 400g can diced tomatoes
  • 250.00 ml frozen peas
  • Steamed basmati rice, to serve
  • Mint leaves, to serve
  • Pappadums, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large saucepan over medium-high heat, heat oil. Sauté onions for 3 to 4 minutes until soft. Stir in garlic and cook for 1 minute. Add curry paste and cook for an additional minute until aromatic.
  • Sear the beef until browned while stirring with a wooden spoon for 4 minutes. Pour in the tomatoes and bring to a boil.
  • Lower the heat to medium and simmer the dish without covering for 5 minutes or until most of the liquid has cooked off. Add peas and cook for an additional minute until they are tender. Serve the curry over rice, garnish with fresh mint, and enjoy with pappadums on the side.
