Elevate sausages with savory tomato topping, perfect for pairing with creamy mashed potatoes.
Ingredients:
  • 12 Extra Lean Gourmet Beef Sausages
  • 1 large brown onion, halved, thinly sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 1kg ripe tomatoes, chopped
  • 125.00 ml fresh basil leaves, torn
  • Mashed potato, to serve
Instructions:
  • Preheat a large non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the sausages, turning occasionally, for 12 minutes until they are golden brown and fully cooked. Place them on a plate and cover with foil to maintain their warmth.
  • Heat oil in the pan until shimmering. Sauté onion for 2-3 minutes until soft and translucent. Add garlic and tomato, cook for 5 minutes until softened. Simmer on low heat for 5-10 minutes until gravy thickens, stirring occasionally.
  • Incorporate the fresh basil, then add a dash of salt and pepper for seasoning. Serve the mashed potatoes and sausages on individual plates and generously pour the decadent gravy on top.
