Steamy beef sliders with onions, pickles, American cheese, and comeback sauce, great for entertaining!
Ingredients:
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons Sriracha sauce
  • 1 tablespoon pickle juice
  • 1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil, or as needed
  • 1 white onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon hamburger seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 slices American cheese
  • 1 dill pickle, sliced
  • 6 slider rolls, halved
Instructions:
  • Combine mayonnaise, Sriracha, pickle juice, mustard, garlic powder, sugar, and salt in a bowl to make comeback sauce. Chill for 1 hour. Reserve 6 teaspoons for sliders, and refrigerate the rest for later use.
  • Cover the bottom of a deep pan with a thin layer of oil and heat over medium heat. Spread a layer of onion about 1/2-inch thick across the pan. Cover and cook until fragrant for 3 to 4 minutes. Reduce heat to medium-low, stir, and cover again.
  • As the onion simmers, mix beef, seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce in a bowl, then form into 6 small patties.
  • Sauté the onion evenly in the pan to prevent burning. Lay the patties on top of the onions and cover to cook for 2 minutes.
  • Assemble burgers by topping each patty with 1/2 slice of American cheese and a few pickle slices. Stack both halves of the buns face-down on each burger, ensuring the top bun touches the cheese and pickles. Cover to steam, and cook until burgers are no longer pink inside, for about 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Take the buns and burgers out of the pan. Spread comeback sauce on the bottom half of each bun, add onions, place the burger, and cover with the top bun. Serve hot.
