Indulge in a savory beef stroganoff casserole with a traditional slow-cooked flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/3 cup chopped onion
  • 1 package (3/4 ounce) mushroom gravy mix
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1 jar (2 1/2 ounces) sliced mushrooms, drained
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 small bell pepper, cut into rings
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 400°F. Grease an 11x7x1 1/2-inch rectangular baking dish. In a 10-inch skillet over medium heat, brown the beef and onion until cooked; then drain. Add gravy mix, water, and mushrooms, cook for 1 to 2 minutes until thickened, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream. Transfer the mixture to the greased baking dish.
  • Combine Bisquick mix, milk, and egg until smooth. Pour over the beef mixture, spreading it evenly. Garnish with bell pepper rings on top.
  • Bake until topping turns a light golden brown, typically about 18 to 22 minutes. Rest for 5 minutes before serving.
