Indulge in a delicious Hamburger Stroganoff Casserole filled with hearty beef, tender egg noodles, fresh mushrooms, and tangy sour cream. Perfect for busy weeknights, let your oven create this comforting meal with rich and satisfying flavors.
Ingredients:
  • 8 oz. (4 cups) uncooked medium egg noodles
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 12 oz. small fresh whole mushrooms, halved (3 1/2 cups)
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 (1.0 to 1.3-oz.) pkg. beef or pork gravy mix
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 1 (8 oz.) container sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Grease a 3-quart casserole dish with nonstick cooking spray. Prepare the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and cover to keep warm.
  • In a large nonstick skillet, sauté ground beef, mushrooms, and garlic over medium-high heat for 5-7 minutes until beef is fully cooked, stirring occasionally. Drain and transfer beef mixture from skillet.
  • In the same skillet, mix together gravy mix, pepper, and water until well combined. Cook over medium-high heat for 3 to 5 minutes, stirring constantly, until bubbly and thickened. Remove from heat and stir in sour cream and nutmeg.
  • Combine the cooked noodles and beef mixture with the gravy, stirring well. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and cover it.
  • Bake at 375°F for 30-40 minutes until bubbly and thoroughly heated. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
