Kid-friendly lasagna roll-ups with herbed cream cheese, savory ground beef sauce, and melted cheese.
Ingredients:
  • 6 lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound extra-lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely diced
  • 1 (28 ounce) jar pasta sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried basil
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried chives
  • 0.125 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
  • 2 cups shredded yellow and white marbled Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 1 (8 ounce) package light cream cheese, softened
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • 1. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Cook lasagna noodles for about 8 minutes until tender, then drain and pat dry with paper towels.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and onion until browned, breaking into crumbles, for about 10 minutes. Stir in pasta sauce and mix in garlic powder, basil, parsley, chives, oregano, and nutmeg.
  • Layer half of the luscious beef sauce in a 2-quart casserole dish and generously sprinkle with 1 cup of mouthwatering Cheddar cheese.
  • Place a lasagna noodle on a lightly floured surface and spread 2 tablespoons of cream cheese on it. Add 2 tablespoons of ground beef sauce on top of the noodle, then roll it up and place it seam side down on the cheese in a casserole dish. Repeat with the remaining noodles. Sprinkle the remaining beef sauce and 1 cup of Cheddar cheese over the noodle rolls.
  • Bake until cheese is bubbly and sauce is hot, 10 to 15 minutes in the preheated oven.
