Crispy battered veggies with your favorite dipping sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1.5 cups beer
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cups vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 carrot, cut into thick strips
  • 1 onion, sliced into rings
  • 6 fresh mushrooms, stems removed
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced in rings
Instructions:
  • Combine 1 1/2 cups of flour and beer in a medium bowl using a wooden spoon, then allow it to rest at room temperature for at least 3 hours.
  • Combine eggs and milk in a small bowl. In another bowl, mix 1/2 cup flour with salt and pepper.
  • Heat oil until it reaches 375°F (190°C).
  • In batches, coat each vegetable in egg mixture, seasoned flour, and beer batter. Fry in oil until golden brown. Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil. Serve hot.
