Delicious beer-battered cauliflower with sliced mushrooms.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup beer
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper
  • 2 cups sliced cauliflower
  • 4 cups vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • Preheat oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan to 375°F (190°C).
  • Set the oven to a cozy 200 degrees F (95 degrees C).
  • In a bowl, mix flour, beer, black pepper, and salt to create a batter. Dip cauliflower pieces in the batter to coat. Shake off excess batter by gently sliding each piece against the bowl's edge. Fry in batches of 10 until golden and crispy, about 2 to 4 minutes.
  • Transfer the crispy fried cauliflower onto paper towel-lined baking sheet using a slotted spoon and keep it warm in the oven.
  • Reheat oil to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) before frying the next batch of cauliflower.
