Spicy beer bread with jalapenos and onions for a flavorful twist.
Ingredients:
  • 8 ounces flat lager-style beer
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 3 cups bread flour
  • 1 package yeast
  • 4 ounces pepper jack cheese, shredded
  • 4 ounces Asiago cheese, shredded
  • 2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and chopped
  • 0.25 cup chopped onions
Instructions:
  • Gently warm beer and butter in a saucepan on low heat until the butter melts and the temperature reaches 115 to 120 degrees F (45 to 50 degrees C).
  • Combine the flavorful pepper jack cheese, savory Asiago cheese, fragrant onions, and spicy jalapeno peppers in a bowl and mix well.
  • Pour the beer and butter mixture into the bread machine pan. Sprinkle in the sugar, salt, and flour in that order. Make a 2-inch well in the flour and add the yeast; cover it with flour. Sprinkle half of the cheese mixture on top.
  • Choose the Basic or White Bread cycle and begin the machine.
  • Add the rest of the cheese mixture into the bread machine after 30 minutes. Let the machine continue processing. Once done, transfer the loaf onto a wire rack to cool for approximately 20 minutes.
