Ziti surpasses lasagna with quicker prep, same flavors. Hearty, flavorful comfort food sure to be a crowd favorite!
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups uncooked ziti pasta (6 oz)
  • 1 lb bulk Italian pork sausage
  • 1 can Progresso™ (18.5 oz) heart healthy tomato soup with Parmesan
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (4 oz)
  • Chopped fresh basil leaves, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F.

  • Combine creamy ricotta cheese, savory Parmesan cheese, and a fresh egg in a small bowl.
  • Spread the pasta mixture evenly in an ungreased 11x7-inch (2-quart) glass baking dish. Top it with the ricotta cheese mixture and sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Cover the dish with foil, making sure the sprayed side is facing down.
  • Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, uncovering for the last 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the mixture is hot and bubbly. Finish with a sprinkle of basil.
