Prep and let a succulent pot roast simmer in the slow cooker for 6-8 hours until tender and juicy.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (3 pound) beef chuck roast
  • 1 onion, quartered
  • 1 (10.5 ounce) can beef broth
  • 1 (1 ounce) packet dry au jus mix
  • 1 (.7 ounce) package dry Italian salad dressing mix (such as Good Seasons®)
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper
Instructions:
  • Add the beef chuck roast to the slow cooker and surround it with onion quarters. Pour in the beef broth and then season the roast by sprinkling the au jus mix, Italian salad dressing mix, salt, and black pepper over the top.
  • Cover and set cooker on Low, let cook until meat is very tender, for 6 to 8 hours.
