Indulgent hot crab dip with creamy cheese, tangy capers, and artichoke hearts, served in a delicious bread bowl.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups crabmeat
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup white Cheddar cheese
  • 0.5 cup capers, drained
  • 2 (8 ounce) cans artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 2 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
  • 0.5 teaspoon dried dill, or to taste
  • 0.25 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 teaspoon Old Bay Seasoning TM, or to taste
  • 1 (8 ounce) round loaf sourdough bread
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) and lightly grease an 8x8-inch square baking pan.
  • In a large bowl, mix together crabmeat, sour cream, cream cheese, buttermilk, mayonnaise, Monterey Jack cheese, Cheddar cheese, capers, artichoke hearts, garlic, black pepper, and dill until well combined. Transfer the dip to a baking pan. Top with Parmesan cheese and Old Bay Seasoning before baking.
  • Bake until the top is crusty, for 15-20 minutes in the preheated oven.
  • Prepare the bread by cutting off the top and hollowing it out. Cube the top and removed pieces for dipping. Fill the hollow loaf with hot dip and serve promptly with bread pieces for dipping.
