Indulge in the ultimate hot crab dip that elevates the creamy base with top-quality lump crab for a rich and savory flavor explosion - perfect for any gathering, whether using fresh or canned crab.
Ingredients:
  • cayenne pepper to taste
  • 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 1/3 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • zest and juice from 1 lemon
  • 2 teaspoons seafood seasoning, such as OLD BAY® Seafood Seasoning
  • freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 6 ounces shredded white Cheddar cheese, divided
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 cup sliced green onions
  • 1 pound lump crab meat, drained
  • salt to taste
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 450 degrees F (230 degrees C).
  • Combine cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, lemon zest and juice, seafood seasoning, paprika, hot sauce, black pepper, cayenne, and 4 ounces shredded Cheddar cheese in a bowl. Mix until smooth and season with salt to taste.
  • Combine the green onions and crab meat in the bowl, gently fold together using a spatula until evenly combined.
  • Pour the mixture into a baking dish or deep pie dish. Sprinkle the remaining 2 ounces of shredded Cheddar on top, followed by a dash of cayenne for a touch of heat.
  • Bake in the preheated oven until the dip is piping hot for about 20 minutes, then allow it to rest for 10 minutes before serving.
  • Garnish with extra green onions and add a sprinkle of cayenne for more heat, if desired.
