Quick and easy tuna casserole with a crispy potato chip topping, ready in 30 minutes for a comforting meal using pantry staples.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (12 ounce) package egg noodles
  • 2 (10.5 ounce) cans condensed cream of mushroom soup
  • 2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 2 (5 ounce) cans tuna, drained
  • 1 cup frozen green peas
  • 0.5 (4.5 ounce) can sliced mushrooms
  • 0.25 cup chopped onion
  • 1 cup crushed potato chips
Instructions:
  • Assemble all ingredients.
  • Fill a large pot with lightly salted water and bring to a rapid boil. Cook egg noodles until al dente, about 7 to 9 minutes; then drain.
  • Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C).
  • Combine noodles, condensed soup, 1 cup of cheese, tuna, peas, mushrooms, and onion in a large bowl, mixing thoroughly until evenly blended.
  • Pour the mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Sprinkle crushed potato chips and the remaining cup of cheese over the top of the mixture.
  • Bake until the cheese is gooey and bubbling, for about 15-20 minutes in the preheated oven.
