Decadent buckeye brownies: layers of chocolate and peanut butter perfection.
Ingredients:
  • 1 (18.25 ounce) package brownie mix (such as Pillsbury®)
  • 0.66666668653488 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 0.25 cup water
  • 2 cups confectioners' sugar
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 1 (6 ounce) package chocolate chips
  • 6 tablespoons butter, softened
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • In a bowl, mix the brownie mix with oil, eggs, and water until you have a smooth batter; pour it into the prepared baking dish.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 28 to 31 minutes until the edges of the brownies start to pull away from the sides of the pan. Remove from the oven and let the brownies cool.
  • Cream together confectioners' sugar, peanut butter, and 1/2 cup of butter until velvety and smooth; then, generously layer over the cooled brownies.
  • Melt chocolate chips and 6 tablespoons of butter together in a saucepan over low heat, stirring occasionally, until smooth, for about 5 minutes. Pour over the peanut butter layer. Allow to cool and then cut into squares.
