Bright and festive birthday cookies for a vibrant celebration!
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (17.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Sugar Cookie Mix
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 3 tablespoons Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon almond extract
  • 9 tablespoons multicolored nonpareil candy sprinkles, from 4-oz container
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Combine the cookie mix, softened butter, egg, flour, and almond extract in a large bowl until a soft dough forms. Divide the dough in half and refrigerate one portion.
  • Take the remaining half of the dough and form approximately 18 balls, each about 1 1/4 inches in size. Coat the balls with 6 tablespoons of nonpareils. Arrange them on an ungreased cookie sheet with 2 inches of space between each. Bake for 6 to 9 minutes. Allow them to cool for 2 minutes before transferring to a cooling rack.
  • Take out the chilled dough from the refrigerator and mix in the remaining 3 tablespoons of nonpareils. Form the dough into roughly 18 balls that are 1 1/4 inches in size. Arrange them on a cookie sheet without greasing, ensuring they are 2 inches apart. Bake for 6 to 9 minutes. Let them cool for 2 minutes before transferring them from the sheet to a cooling rack.
