Indulgent biscuits and gravy casserole - a mouthwatering combo of flaky biscuits, eggs, savory sausage, gooey cheese, and rich gravy baked to perfection in one hearty dish. Perfect for any meal.
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 1 (10 ounce) can refrigerated biscuit dough (such as Pillsbury Grands!®)
  • 1 (1 pound) bulk pork sausage
  • 1.5 cups shredded Cheddar cheese, divided
  • 6 large eggs
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1.5 cups cold water, or more as needed
  • 1 (1.5 ounce) package pork gravy mix
Instructions:
  • Heat your oven to a toasty 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  • Arrange a layer of biscuits on the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  • In a hot skillet, cook and stir sausage until browned and crumbly, about 5 to 7 minutes. Drain grease. Spread sausage over biscuits and sprinkle with 1 cup of Cheddar cheese.
  • Combine eggs, milk, salt, and pepper in a bowl and pour the mixture over the cheese layer.
  • Combine water and gravy mix in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer until thickened, about 1 to 2 minutes, adjusting consistency with more water if desired. Pour over the egg layer and top with 1/2 cup Cheddar cheese.
  • Cook in the preheated oven for 30 minutes until the eggs are fluffy and the cheese is bubbly.
