Upgraded steak salad with blue cheese and black pepper using Suddenly Salad for a delicious and simple meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Suddenly Salad® ranch & bacon pasta salad mix
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese dressing
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped red onion
  • 1 can (15 oz) Progresso™ black beans, drained, rinsed
  • 1 lb boneless top round steak
  • 1 tablespoon garlic pepper
  • 1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles
  • French-fried onions, as desired
Instructions:
  • Add the pasta from the Suddenly Salad box into a 3-quart saucepan filled 2/3 with boiling water. Let it gently boil, uncovered, for 12 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain the pasta, rinse it with cold water, and drain well.
  • Combine the seasoning packet from the Suddenly Salad box with blue cheese dressing in a medium bowl. Mix in the cooked pasta, onion, and black beans until fully combined. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for 1 hour.
  • Preheat the gas or charcoal grill. Season both sides of the steak with garlic pepper and grill over medium-high heat with the lid covered. Cook the steak for about 6 minutes on each side or until a meat thermometer inserted into the center reads 140°F.
  • To present, transfer pasta salad onto a large serving platter. Slice steak thinly and layer over the salad. Sprinkle with blue cheese crumbles and garnish with French-fried onions.
