Turn cocoa rice cereal bars into spooky black cat pops for a fun and simple Halloween dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 27 Oreo chocolate creme sandwich cookies
  • 3 cups cocoa-flavored rice cereal
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 bag (10.5 oz) miniature marshmallows (5 1/2 cups)
  • 8 craft sticks (flat wooden sticks with round ends)
  • 1 pouch (7 oz) Betty Crocker™ Decorating Cookie Icing black icing
  • Black string licorice, cut into 48 (1-inch) pieces
Instructions:
  • Prepare a 13x9-inch pan by lining it with foil, allowing the foil to hang over two opposite sides of the pan. Give the foil a light coating of cooking spray. Using a food processor, grind the cookies into fine crumbs. Combine the cookie crumbs with the cereal in a large bowl.
  • In a 2-quart saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in marshmallows and cook for 3 minutes until smooth. Add cereal mixture and stir until well combined. Transfer mixture into a pan, press evenly and allow to cool for 30 minutes.
  • Lift the mixture from the pan using foil. With a 4 1/4-inch cat-shaped cookie cutter, cut out the shapes. Insert a craft stick halfway into the center of each pop. Let them cool until they are firm.
  • Use black icing to carefully draw the outlines of the cats. Attach 6 pieces of licorice to each cat to create whiskers. Allow the cats to stand until the icing is fully set.
