Indulge in rich Black Forest brownies loaded with cherries, chocolate chips, and pecans, reminiscent of the classic cake.
Ingredients:
  • cooking spray
  • 4 (1 ounce) squares semi-sweet baking chocolate
  • 1.5 cups white sugar
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup packed all-purpose flour
  • 0.5 cup pecans
  • 0.5 cup dried cherries
  • 0.5 cup chocolate chips
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), then line a 9x13-inch baking pan with aluminum foil, making sure to leave enough to hang over the edges. Give the foil a quick spray with cooking oil.
  • In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the baking chocolate and butter together in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, for 1 to 3 minutes. Stir in sugar until dissolved. Allow mixture to cool slightly before using.
  • Blend eggs into the rich chocolate mixture until fully incorporated; gently mix in the fragrant vanilla extract. Fold in flour until just combined with the luscious chocolate batter.
  • Pulse pecans and dried cherries in a food processor until chopped; mix them into the batter along with chocolate chips. Spread the batter evenly in the prepared baking pan.
  • Bake in the oven until brownies pull away from the edges and are set in the middle, approximately 1 hour.
