Indulgent Black Forest chocolate muffins for pure happiness.
Ingredients:
  • 1 x 425g can pitted cherries
  • 55g (1/4 cup) caster sugar
  • 5.00 gm cornflour
  • 4 double chocolate chip muffins
  • 20.00 ml kirsch liqueur
  • 200ml double cream
  • 1 x 30g Flake chocolate bar, crumbled
Instructions:
  • After draining the cherries, save the syrup. In a saucepan over high heat, mix the syrup, sugar, and cornflour. Bring to a boil and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens. Take it off the heat and let it cool for 2 minutes before using.
  • Split each muffin into 3 layers using a small serrated knife. Arrange the bottom layer of each muffin on serving plates, brush with kirsch, add half the cream and half the cherries. Repeat layering with remaining muffins, kirsch, cream, and cherries. Finish by drizzling cherry syrup and sprinkling with Flake before serving.
